Getting acquainted with a brand
The recent sweep on South African creatives to bring the country in a new era by finding new ways to commemorate important days, empower the people and help the country grow. Is so evident it makes you smile when you see all that has been achieved. Coming right out of Human rights day has made one so proud of our heritage as Nike decided to celebrate by taking back the city and introducing people who would not have known other wise of the beauty that is the Johannesburg CBD. through a race that covered the entire area and brought do many people together. Being apart of it showed me exactly what they meant by reclaim the city as people came out in droves to support and be a part of. The feeling that another holiday has been reclaimed from the usual drinking and senseless partying made everyone there proud.
This showed every young person there how many opportunities we have for making a difference. Within our element not changing who we are or becoming conservative just simply being ourselves and learning from it.
with that said i found other causes that celebrate being young as well as teach us about being a beautiful brand. these initiatives are always looking for volunteers and offer more than you can ever ask for.
Shout SA. is a crime stop campaign that helps people to take back their neighborhoods by giving them a safe channel of whistle blowing there are many ways to involve yourself just as the many celebrities have as an intern doing leg work and leasing for them to contact them Shout.SouthAfrica.co.za.
cheesekids.org.za this is an initiative formed by children of struggle veterans as a way to fight and alleviate poverty as well as help you can from being a mentor for someone younger than you or finding a mentor yourself.

chronicals of growth
with forever young playing in the back ground i cant help but look back on the, un-achieved goals as well s how far from where i thought i would be by this time. In that spirit i dedicate my first entry to breathing being who you are and realizing that "you never have and never will live in any other moment but NOW". With as many self help books you read and as many experiences you have life has a way of working in its own way.As a bright eyed first year student i couldn't wait to go out there discover learn and achieve till it came to the now where balancing school, a job and trying by all that is in me to have what Oprah calls the most important time of day "Me time". Dwight Eisenhower American president (1890-1969)once said motivation is the art of getting people to do what you want them to do because they want to. With that quote running through my mind i cant help but wonder if that works with self motivation.
So i propose a hand holding conference where i am willing to help you with what ever question you have in order to make this year worth every trial and experiences as well as let you in on the trade secrets of making it in the P.R World.
